The weather continues to be droughty in the Darjeeling district. Diverse estates have received 30-40% of the normal rainfall causing production to be approximately 50-70% compared to what it was last year. Quality is difficult to find in the market and teas of popular marks are still getting top prices.
Despite these difficulties, we have procured a couple of small choice lots which we expect to arrive in our warehouse in a week or so.
