Description: Bold, well-twisted leaves are interspersed with downy buds, creating an attractive appearance. The delicate liquor has an initial sweetness, which is tempered by a vegetal hint and light pungency. Produced with time-honored techniques and finished with a charcoal basket firing, lending to the light toasty hint.

"This is my favorite green tea for this winter. (My current favorite daily black is the China Keemun First Grade.) I brew at approx 180 deg and use plenty of tea. I combine 3 brews (2, 3, 3 min) in a thermal pitcher and enjoy all evening. Never bitter if not over-brewed; flavor is rich and full. My husband, who is quick to pan "flavorless" teas, loves it too. Highly recommended!

"This is my favorite green tea. Because it's roasted, it doesn't have the typical vegetal quality that one comes to expect from a green tea. It has a smooth, toasty flavor with absolutely no bitterness."
