"Unusual, hearty, even meaty aroma in dry leaf. Infusion reminds me of an East Frisian Assam/Indonesian blend formerly purchased elsewhere but no longer available - therefore happy to have the substitute!"

Dry Leaf: Very Good, Infused Leaf: Very Good,
Liquor: Very Good, Value: Very Good

"This is a great value black tea. Because of the small cut of the leaves, when I brewed it for 4 min (4t in a 1L teapot), it was very strong (flavor and caffination-wise). Using not-so-heaping teaspoons and a 3 min brew helped quite a bit. This has a very distinct and different flavor than other black teas - the aroma of the dried leaves is, I would say, blackberry/dark & rich. An interesting black"

3 out of 5 stars Ron Magen - Backyard Boatshop from North Hills, PA (United States) (9/18/2014)
Dry Leaf: Good, Infused Leaf: Good,
Liquor: Good, Value: Good

"My preference is for Iced Tea . . Not exactly 'powerful' for my taste, but a good, decent, 'bright' flavor. {Adding 'Black Label' - about 1:5, or 6 - gives a STRONG brew}Steeped 4 minutes. Strong 'tea' smell in tin, mix 1:1 with water to fill pircher, deep color. GOOD flavor, but nothing really 'Outstanding'"
